VASCO DIGIPASS is a fully customizable product that operates on several parameters that can be custom-configured to determine how it functions. Such parameters include the number of digits in a one-time password and the frequency in which the password itself changes. Because each factor impacts the overall security and usability of the DIGIPASS products, it is important to understand the full scope of all parameter customizations. This module was designed to instruct customers in the proper usage of these parameters and to assist them in making appropriate choices.
The first section of this module covers the many types of parameters associated with PINs, challenge-response applications, electronic signatures and encryption algorithms. Additionally, it presents an overview of event- and time-based scenarios as well as different methods of linking transactions and signatures.
The second part of this module puts knowledge into practice. At the end of the day, customers will have five to ten functioning DIGIPASS devices parameterized according to their individual needs. These parameterized DIGIPASS devices can also be used to start integration tests.
