Cascades secures remote access to its corporate resources with DIGIPASS technology

Cascades Inc., well known for its recovery, green packaging and tissue paper products, wanted to give its employees remote access to its IT resources without compromising security. The company already had a SSL/VPN solution in place, but they needed a security implementation that would have minimal impact on its users. After reviewing several security solutions to meet their remote access security needs, Cascades selected VASCO’s DIGIPASS authenticators in combination with the VACMAN Middleware software suite.

Challenge

The solution needed to be compliant with the existing SSL/VPN solution without dismantling the existing back-end infrastructure. The transition to a new authentication solution had to be smooth with minimal impact on Cascades’ end-users.

Solution

VASCO’s DIGIPASS technology combined with VACMAN Middleware, allowed Cascades to secure its SSL/VPN connection in a very cost-effective manner. The authentication solution was integrated into the existing back-end infrastructure without adding costly additional hardware or servers. By using DIGIPASS GO 6, employees can now securely access the corporate network and its applications anywhere in the world at any given time.
