A year ago, David, Gavin, and Vincent joined VASCO US as e-Security Consultants. Since then, they have transitioned into new roles in VASCO’s Sales Department. We asked them to describe their experience during their first year.

Why did you choose VASCO as an employer?

David:I chose VASCO because it was a small company that allowed me to grow with the company in multiple career paths.

Vincent:What attracted me to VASCO were the great benefits, a great work environment, and great people. But my goal was also to advance my career, and VASCO gives you the opportunity to do just that.

Gavin:What drew me to VASCO was the chance to work with an international security software company. At such a young age and so early on in my career, I saw a lot of potential for growth in an industry that is only getting larger.

How would you describe your first year with VASCO?

Vincent:The first year at VASCO was great. In my new position, training was great because we learned by doing. We were immersed in the process right away.

Gavin:The first year was a good year. Learning how to work within an international company with so many different cultures was definitely refreshing and nice to be a part of. Also, at VASCO US, there is definitely a philosophy to promote from within whenever possible. Whenever new career opportunities presented themselves, individuals who had shown initiative and desire to take on more responsibilities were rewarded with positions above and beyond what they were originally hired to do. It was a very positive experience.

David:I agree with Gavin. In the first year, we had the opportunity to work in the Channel Department as well as New Businesses and Account Management from all different industries. Also, for me, coming from the medical products background, it was a good learning experience in technology and IT security.

Would you recommend VASCO as an employer?

Vincent:I would definitely recommend VASCO to anyone looking to advance their career. VASCO is a great place to learn international business. Also, in terms of forwarding your career, VASCO can put you on the fast track.

Gavin:If you are hungry, ambitious, and have a desire to work for an international company, then VASCO is definitely a place that will challenge you.

David:VASCO is a place with a very entrepreneurial type of atmosphere. So, if you are an individual who is driven, motivated, and seeks out opportunities, then I would definitely recommend VASCO. The learning experiences I’ve had in international business culture and processes at VASCO are tough to find anywhere else.
