Belgium: Security Architect (Wemmel)

Summary

VASCO Data Security is looking for a ‘Security Architect’ to join its Security Competence Center.

The mission of the ‘Security Architect’ is to ensure that VASCO's Customers trust the security of VASCO's Products and Solutions.

Responsibilities

Security Architect:

Assist the development team of VASCO during the development of new security solutions:

• Specification of the security requirements of the product/service in collaboration with the engineering department owning the product/service; in particular specification of the cryptographic and key management functionality;

• Selection of security mechanisms to realize the security requirements in collaboration with the engineering departments;

• Guidance of engineering departments during implementation and maintenance of selected security mechanisms;

• Security evaluation of the implemented security mechanisms.

Security Expert:

Promote VASCO as a company with strong expertise in perimeter security combined with authentication technology:

• Attending and presenting at security conferences

• Writing press articles about combinations of authentication technology & perimeter security

• Liaising with industry and banking security experts

Security Consultant:

Offer security consultancy to VASCO’s customers, mainly regarding perimeter security:

• Monitor trends in security threats and countermeasures

• Advice markets and customers about threats (e.g. consultancy package)

Profile

• You have a Master Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems / Information Security or other related field (or equivalent through experience).

• Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience expected in enterprise security.

• Relevant Security qualifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).

• You are creative and innovative.

• You are open and fluent in communication and open to discussion.

• You are skilled in making reports and presentations.

• Functional knowledge:

  -        Strong knowledge of Web Application Security

  -        Strong knowledge of Penetration testing & Security testing in general

  -        Firewalls and intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems 

  -        Basic Knowledge of Cryptography, Key management

  -        Knowledge of Business continuity practices and Disaster recovery

  -        Knowledge of Access control, Authentication

• You are fluent in English and Dutch.
