Belgium: Linux Appliance Developer (Mechelen)

Summary

To meet the Company's and the Product's expansion, R&D is looking for highly skilled Linux Software Engineers to enforce its team in Mechelen.

The development team is responsible to implement and maintain all the software in the appliance, as well to optimize and extend the Back-Office infrastructure to efficiently update and monitor customer systems.

Profile

• You have a higher degree in Software Engineering (University) or Computer Science.

• You have excellent communication and analytical skills

• Knowledge of:

         - C, C++, Perl, Ruby, Shell, ... 
         - Linux / Unix development environment, kernel 2.6.x experience, ...
         - Networking TCP/IP and most common protocols (DHCP, SMTP, POP, IMAP, ...) 
         - Security, Firewall principles, Content Scanning, ... 
         - Web technologies: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax, Ruby on Rails, ...

• You speak fluently Dutch and English. French is an extra asset.

• You are a team-player.

• Although it is mainly a job in Mechelen, you are willing to travel World-Wide for short amounts of time if needed for the job.
