The Personal aXs GUARD is a solution to support a small or home office connecting via safe and simple VPN to the head office aXs GUARD SOHO, Office or Enterprise.
Connect the Personal aXs GUARD to the ADSL or cable modem, import the certificate (originally issued from the main aXs GUARD) and the connection is live! 1 to 4 users can then safely access their e-mail, company files, databases or other company information.
Surfing is also possible via the head office site (if configured on the main aXs GUARD) to avoid viruses, spyware, spam and other Internet risks infecting the local PC. All traffic is transmitted over the VPN via the main aXs GUARD, which takes care of security.
The Personal aXs GUARD is also fitted with a WIFI receiver, through which the remote user can work safely without cable connections. The security of the wireless network is also managed centrally through the imported configuration file.

Distinguished from the 'others'
'Other' small appliances in the market often have no inbuilt VPN options and are not centrally managed, or still require a large number of technical parameters in order to assure the desired level of security, often requiring the skills of a competent IT'er. Experience has shown that certainly concerning wireless use, security is often insufficient.
The Personal aXs GUARD has only two parameters: 'how can I connect with the Internet' (name/password for ADSL, DHCP for cable modem) and 'import Certificate'. All the keys (encryption) needed to set up a safe VPN with the head office are in the certificate. The certificate itself is a file issued by the head office, so that perfect security is achieved. Once the VPN exists, all the other parameters (configured beforehand by the IT responsible at head office) are automatically supplied to the Personal aXs GUARD.
